The Bridge to Clemson program celebrated its 20th year in 2025-26 and achieved an all-time high 88% crosser success rate of students who successfully completed academic requirements for admission to Clemson. The figure represented a five-percent increase from the previous academic year.
Bridge to Clemson is an enrollment pathway for first-year applicants that houses students on Clemson’s campus — allowing them to enjoy many of the same amenities afforded to Clemson students — while taking classes at nearby Tri-County Technical College (TCTC).
“Achieving a record crosser success rate in the 20th year of the program is really exciting,” says Alexa Richards, director of Bridge and transfer programs. “We are fortunate to have such a strong relationship with our partners at Tri-County Technical College as well as campus entities such as Clemson Home. We work collaboratively to help ensure our students are positioned to be successful during their time in the program and beyond.”
Bridge students are supported by TCTC advisors and a full-time coordinating staff, led by Amy Jennings.

For more than 20 years, this unique partnership has continued to grow due to a shared passion for helping students building a strong foundation for future success.”
Bridge to Clemson welcomed its Fall 2026 cohort in August with 1,074 students participating in this year’s program. Students attended Convocation in Clemson University’s Brooks Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, Aug. 16 and began classes at TCTC the following day.
