The College of Arts and Humanities (CAH) recognized 14 faculty and staff for their outstanding teaching and service during the Honors and Awards ceremony on April 11 and the spring College Meeting on May 7.

“We are so very proud of our outstanding faculty and staff and grateful for their service, for always going the extra mile,” said Dean Nicholas Vazsonyi. “Competition this year was particularly intense and I am thankful for the hard work the awards committee did to make their selections.”

CAH Awards

Each spring, CAH students are invited to nominate faculty and staff for the Faculty Member of the Year or Advisor of the Year award. Students submit an essay explaining how the faculty or staff they nominated exudes excellence in their service to Clemson students. The award winners are chosen by a panel of CAH Ambassadors and are recognized at the college Honors and Awards ceremony.

About the College of Arts and Humanities

Established in 2023, the College of Arts and Humanities (CAH) is centered on exploring and understanding the human condition. It encourages students to engage with culture, history, literature, performance, and the intersections of differing fields of study. Students learn the skills to make a living, while also being confronted with the question of how to make a life. Through expert pedagogy in supportive environments, students are trained to think deeply, write effectively, express their thoughts with confidence and interact respectfully with others. The College of Arts and Humanities is where Clemson students prepare to meet the world.
