Walker-Donnelly receives Ted. K. Miller Award for Excellence from SACSA

Student Affairs Director of Assessment Dr. Kristin Walker-Donnelly was announced last week as the recipient of the 2021 Ted K. Miller Award for Excellence. The award was presented by the Southern Association for College Student Affairs (SACSA) at its conference to an individual who has advanced standards of practice and quality assurance in educational programs and services.

SACSA is an independent, regional and generalist association designed for the professional development of practitioners, educators and students engaged in the student affairs profession.

Dr. Kristin Walker-Donnelly received the Ted K. Miller Award from SACSA at its regional conference in Norfolk, Virginia.

“Kristin is a true leader who continues to advocate for and advance the profession through her work,” said Lisa Bona, chief business operations and strategy officer for Student Affairs. “Saying I am proud is simply an understatement for how I feel about the amazing accomplishments Kristin has achieved. Her expertise and dedication to increasing the overall quality of the student experience at Clemson is second to none. I am thankful she is part of our team to make a positive impact in the lives of students.”

Walker-Donnelly has served in her current role with Student Affairs Business Operations since 2018. She coordinates division-level assessment efforts that support institutional goals, objects, metrics and university accreditation — ensuring a culture of continuous improvement.

Walker-Donnelly implements the division’s value mapping and dashboard reporting process, works closely with assessment liaisons from each department, coordinates Experience: IMPACT informational sessions each academic semester to highlight the ongoing efforts of colleagues and has also been instrumental in the production of the Student Affairs annual report.
