Dear Clemson Family:
As Thanksgiving approaches, I am taking some time to reflect on everything I am grateful for here at Clemson. We’ve had a successful semester, and I am thankful to everyone for doing their part to comply with our COVID policies and procedures. From frequent testing to following our mask policies to voluntary vaccination reporting, our faculty, staff and students have done an outstanding job of working together to ensure we have a safe and healthy semester. We also announced our post-Thanksgiving testing policies and updated guidance on masks.
I am thankful for our students, who bring so much energy and enthusiasm to our campus. It has been wonderful to have them back in our residence halls, classrooms and labs and to see them at our athletic events and other campus activities.
I am thankful for our incredible and dedicated faculty and staff, who have worked so hard to make Clemson the best university it can be and to keep us moving forward during the challenges of the pandemic. Our faculty and staff are world-class scholars, researchers, teachers, mentors and more, and I am proud to have them all as teammates.
I am also thankful for our loyal and generous alumni and donors. We wouldn’t be where we are today without their amazing support.
I also wanted to extend an invitation to all of our students, faculty and staff to join Beth and me at our annual holiday reception on Wednesday, Dec. 1, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Madren Conference Center Grand Ballroom. Beth and I would love for you to join us for food, door prizes and holiday fun. You have all worked hard this semester, and we look forward to celebrating with you.
I hope you all have a happy, safe and restful Thanksgiving break. Please know that I appreciate you and your support of our university.
Go Tigers!!
Jim Clements
