Lori Anne Carr of Ridge Spring named to Clemson Alumni Association board

CLEMSON — The Clemson Alumni Association has named Lori Anne Carr of Ridge Spring to its board of directors. Her term will begin July 1.

Carr is a two-time graduate of Clemson University. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education in 1990 and a Master of Education in 1992. She currently serves as the vice president and administrative manager of Titan Peach Farms Inc. and is also the owner and president of Palmetto Processing Solutions.

Carr is an active member of her community and participates in many industry-related organizations. She is a member of the Palmetto AgriBusiness Council and a member of the South Carolina Peach Council and South Carolina Farm Bureau. Carr is also president of the Old 96 Tourism Commission of South Carolina.

She is also heavily involved in the Clemson community. Carr has served on the university’s Board of Visitors and the Clemson University Foundation board; chaired Clemson’s College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences campaign board; and established, along with her husband, the Chalmers Carr III ’90 and Lori Anne Carr ‘90 Creative Inquiry Endowment. She is also a member of the Aiken County Clemson Club.

The alumni board has 22 members and is the governing body for the Clemson Alumni Association. Primary responsibilities of the board include general oversight of the programs and initiatives of the association, financial audit and review, the establishment of governing policies and strategic planning.
