Clemson University faculty and staff may carry over a maximum of 45 days of annual leave and 180 days of sick leave from one calendar year to the next. Those with accrued annual leave and/or sick leave beyond the maximum are encouraged to donate excess leave to the Leave Transfer (Pool) Program by December 31.
The Leave Transfer (Pool) Program program helps support eligible Clemson employees who have exhausted their own paid leave balances as a result of catastrophic illness or injury.
Donations may be made to the general leave pool or to an individual faculty or staff member eligible to participate in the Leave Transfer (Pool) Program.
