On Sept. 16, the faculty and staff of the Clemson University College of Education joined partners and friends at the Madren Center to celebrate excellence in teaching, research and service at its Fourth Annual Awards Celebration.

In addition to awards celebrating faculty and staff achievements and milestones, the College also presented its Distinguished Partnership Award and recognized a Distinguished Friend of the College.

The College uses the Distinguished Partnership Award to recognize an organization that has demonstrated strong commitment to many of the College of Education’s initiatives, research endeavors and programs. The College awarded Dabo’s All In Team Foundation with this award.

The College also recognized Trish and Eddie Edwards, longtime supporters of various College initiatives, with its fourth annual Distinguished Friend of the College Award.

The Edwards recently established the James M. and Patricia C. Edwards Endowment for Education in memory of their mothers, Margaret Dawes Edwards and Patricia Kenney Creighton, who devoted their lives to teaching. The family’s gift will support Clemson’s teacher residency program, a combined degree program across disciplines.
