For the third consecutive year, Clemson University has been recognized by Forbes as one of South Carolina’s Best Employers

Clemson ranked No. 39 on the statewide list, joining other notable Upstate employers like Michelin, Prisma Health, BMW and AnMed. Clemson employs more than 7,000 employees across every county in South Carolina. A testament to Clemson’s workplace culture: more than 37% of employees have worked at the University for ten or more years.

“This recognition from Forbes is a testament to the strength of our Clemson family,” said Ale Kennedy, associate vice president and chief human resources officer. “Our employees are at the heart of everything we do. Their commitment and longevity speak volumes about the supportive, collaborative culture we’ve built together.”

The ranking is based on independent research conducted by Forbes in partnership with market research firm Statista. The study evaluates organizations through direct employee feedback, workplace culture metrics and employer reputation. It looks at key categories like compensation, opportunities for advancement and organizational pride.

Clemson has also earned repeated recognition as a Military Friendly Employer by VIQTORY, demonstrating the University’s commitment to veteran and military-connected employees.
