At the Golden Tiger Reunion on Thursday, June 5, the Clemson Alumni Association proudly celebrated the Class of 1975 for surpassing $60M in lifetime gifts to Clemson University since their graduation. Over the past 50 years, their philanthropic impact has supported both academic excellence and athletic achievement across campus.
“The generosity of the Class of 1975 is awe-inspiring,” said Clemson Alumni Association CEO Wil Brasington. “We are thankful to this class of now Golden Tigers, for their vision and for their philanthropic efforts over the past 50 years and counting. Clemson University is a better place because of the Class of ’75,” he added.
GOLDEN TIGER LANE
To support the Nieri Family Alumni and Visitors Center, the Class of ’75 has set another ambitious goal of raising $250,000 to name Golden Tiger Lane, the scenic path connecting the Nieri Family Alumni and Visitors Center to the Clyde W. Madren Center. The newest building on Clemson’s campus serves as a first stop for prospective students as well as a gathering place for returning alumni. To learn more or make a donation, click HERE.
GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT

In addition, the Class of 1975 established a Golden Anniversary Scholarship Endowment with an initial goal of reaching $100,000. Thanks to the passion and generosity of its members, that goal was quickly surpassed, as the Class has raised close to $200,000 for scholarships in support of future Clemson students.
“We are so proud of what our class has done in support of Clemson over the years and especially pleased with our classmates’ response to our 50th Anniversary fundraising effort,” said Debbie DuBose, co-chair of the Class of 1975 Reunion planning committee. She added, “It’s an honor to be the newest members of the Golden Tigers Society and to be back at the University that brought us all together 50 years ago.”
