As winter turns the corner, spring athletics comes into full swing. Many opportunities are available for faculty, staff and their families to attend Clemson athletic events occurring throughout the spring.
Baseball
Over the weekend, the baseball team opened its season with a 3-0 series sweep against Liberty University. Faculty, staff and their immediate families will receive free admission with the presentation of a valid CUID at the left entry gates. Tickets are subject to availability. Softball
Clemson’s softball team is in its inaugural season, recently hosting its first home series in its brand new stadium on Feb. 12. Faculty, staff and their immediate families will receive free admission to regular-season home events upon presentation of a valid CUID. Tickets are subject to availability. Men’s Tennis
The men’s team (6-2) will host its next home matches on at 5 p.m. Friday against the University of Miami (FL) and at 1 p.m. Sunday against Florida Atlantic University. The Tigers return for another homestand at 2 p.m. March 2 against Florida State and at 3 p.m. March 7 against East Tennessee State. The team is off to a strong start, recently notching come-back victories against Princeton and Georgia State.
Women’s Tennis
Following a slew of three road matches, the women’s team (9-3) hosts its next home matches at 11 a.m. March 6 against Florida State and a doubleheader at noon March 8 against North Carolina State followed by a 5 p.m. match against Troy.
Women’s Rowing
After a three-month break, the women’s team its spring competition with the Carolina Cup on March 7. It also will host the Clemson Invitational on April 18-19 and the ACC Championships on May 15-16.
Women’s Golf
Following a conclusion of road tournaments, the women’s golf team hosts the Clemson Invitational on March 27-29 . The event will go throughout the day. Major highlights among the season included a second-place finish in the Mason Rudolph Championship.
Men’s Golf
The men’s team hosts the NCAA regionals May 18-20, with the event going throughout the day. Major highlights among the season included a first-place finish in the Jack Nicklaus Collegiate Invitational along with third-place finishes in both the Maui Jim and Nike Intercollegiate tournaments. The team also participates in the Palmetto Intercollegiate tournament on March 9-10 in Aiken, South Carolina.
